Audio Streaming online at www.eldosfm.co.za - stay in-tune with the pulse of your community!
EldosFM, the community radio station launched t cater for the Eldorado Park area of Johannesburg and surrounds has been operating since 4 September on 87.6 FM. I ENTHUSIASTICALLY encourage every single person that is within radius to tune in and tap in to this groundbreaking new rado station that empowers the community like nothing before.
I was lucky enough to score an interview on the radio station on Saturday, 6 September and I was amazed at how far this station has come (I've been observing their progress from the beginning and I find it heartening that they're now fully broadcasting). |

With the country held to ransom by the insane mutterings of Zwelinzima "what-happened to-worker-rights?" Vavi; Gwede "the-REAL-counter-revolutionary" Mantashe; Julius "altar-boy-in-the-church-of-Zuma" Malema and Blade "NOT-the-sharpest-TOOL" Nzimande. The country hangs on the cusp of some serious social upheaval as respect for the judiciary; due-course; respect for the law and myopic backing of the most morally reprehensible leader in the history of the ANC takes precedence of principled and tempered politicking.
Zapiro hit a home-run with this cartoon which appeared in the Sunday Times.
Aweh Zapiro! Now that's how you make a statement!

JOHANNESBURG - Coloureds in Gauteng have cut ties with the ruling party citing disillusionment and marginalisation, and have now formed their own political organisation.
The once ANC-affiliated South Western Joint Civic Association (Sowejoca) was transformed into the Peoples Revolutionary Congress (PRC) at the Noordgesig community centre at the weekend.
A choice between President (Thabo) Mbeki and ANC president (Jacob) Zuma is a nightmare. We want to replace the defunct ANC at next years election, said PRC president Basil Douglas.

(This article from Die Burger)

JOHANNESBURG - The ANCs internal squabbles have driven disillusioned coloureds in Gauteng to leave the party in droves.
The Citizen has learnt that the once ANC-affiliated South Western Joint Civic Association (Sowejoca) withdrew all its members (from more than 100 branches) from participation in the ruling party.
The infighting, alleged corruption, nepotism, graft and total incompetence have led to the disillusionment with the ANC.

The
word bruin (in bruin-ou) as you already know, is pronounced
brain, i.e. like that lump of grey matter found under layers of
hard skull. The brain is the organ in the body responsible for our thoughts,
feelings and actions. Sadly, it is conspicuously absent in some people and
horrendously under-utilised by most. Nothing in the body can willingly happen
without the brain giving it the thumbs up. Recently however, it really struck
me how these 2 words, bruin and brain have come
to have such a twisted, deeply personal meaning in my life.
It started in winter of 2002 in
Cape
Town. My daughter Chloe was about to make her debut
into the world and there I was, this hopelessly lost, clueless, confused,
struggling 22 year old outie trying to make sure that I was as ready as
possible for the inevitable thrust into fatherhood.
