Scientist; AIDS activist; Professor; weather presenter; got her doctoral degree in California and can still speak Afrikaans; happy-to-be-nappy Debra Meyer hails from Eldorado Park. She would like to extend an invitation to YOU to attend a lecture that will be held for students from the University of Virginia, USA but YOUR INPUT is needed to help illustrate the point. Just between you and me, miss Meyer is incredibly low-key considering her many accolades but she symbolizes everything that we as a people are.. and ought to be.
Please join Professor Debra Meyer for an insightful interactive session on “Coloured people" at:
Venue: University of Johannesburg Department of Geography Environmental Management and Energy Studies Room D3 Lab 330 Auckland Park Campus Date: Tuesday, 26 May 2009 Time: 11:00-12:30
Topic: Coloured People The lecture content is upgraded from what was presented in November 2007. You don’t have to RSVP but the seating capacity is limited and reserved on a “first come-first served” basis. The invite is especially for Bruinmense but anyone is welcome to attend. By Lorreal Ferris
