MrSpencer.com - new people, new topics, new online culture - ONE LOVE!!
Some of you may have been wondering what the heck happened with the Bruin-ou.com total user counter as it rocketed overnight from a conservative 11 000+ users to well over 29 000+ users. No, we havent been doctoring the total user count to make ourselves look like were bigger than we actually are: Bruin-ou.com has merged user tables with the rather large and very well established online community MrSpencer.com (www.mrspencer.co.za). That means that all MrSpencer.com users and Bruin-ou.com users are able to move freely between the 2 sites, with just 1 login
nice huh!? (Go on, head over to www.mrspencer.com and login with your Bruin-ou.com login details to see what Im talking about). |

(Commentary from Die Burger - we'd love to hear your comments and views on this.)
Heindrich Wyngaard neem mnr. Tokyo Sexwale se verwysing na sy kinders as bruin in oënskou.
N
MENS wonder of mnr. Tokyo Sexwale besef het presies wat hy doen toe hy
sy kinders die afgelope naweek as bruin verklaar het.
Dit
was op die wynplaas Lourensford by Somerset-Wes waar mnr. Jacob Zuma,
die ANC-leier, n ontbytgesprek gevoer het met n groep prominente
Wes-Kaapse Afrikaanssprekendes.

 This boytjie turns 3!
Bruin-ou.com 3 Years on!
The
5th April is an important date for a number of
reasons...
For
starters, it's the date, almost 29 years ago, when I decided that I had had
enough of my fledgling life in the safe confines of my mother's womb...I decided
that it was time for me to breakout like Michael
Scofield and make my debut in this world. So, without very much thinking,
head first, I made my cameo appearance into the world, bidding farewell to the
free, temperature-controlled accomodation; cheers to the nutrients and oxygen on
tap and goodbye to the spa-like watery coccoon I had come to call
womb. |

Thusday night I went to see Step Up 2: The Streets. I cant remember the last time I was this excited to see a movie. Im pretty much a dance movie junkie, so I knew I was going to enjoy this one.
I dont want to spoil it for anyone who hasnt seen it yet, so I will try to keep it to the basics. The movie tells the story of Andie (Briana Evigan), a rebellious street dancer. After her mother died, she moved in with her mothers best friend, but is very close to getting kicked out and being forced to move to Texas. The only way she can stay is if she completely turns around of her life, and she is given the chance when she is admitted to the Maryland School of the Arts.

No, it's not Sandton, it's ELDOS!!
The new flagship park in Eldorado Park
is the biggest in the area, and offers a big screen television, two
soccer pitches and a water feature Eldorado Park finally lives up to
its name, with a lush green space opened for play. It even has a big
screen television where people can gather to watch sport or other
programmes.
WATCHING your favourite sports game
from a park bench may be strange for some, but for many residents in
Eldorado Park extension 3, having an outdoor facility offering
international sport, education, travel and entertainment on their
doorstep, is a welcome gift...AND it is offered free of charge.

(It's no big secret that the Coloured community of South Africa has the HIGHEST RATE OF FOETAL ALCOHOL SYNDROME IN THE WORLD!! This sobering/disturbing fact is something which should force all of us to ask some very hard questions of ourselves. This article tries to present the facts on this issue that is not getting nearly enough media attention - Ed).
South African wines are recognised as among the finest in the world, South African Breweries (SAB) is the second largest beer company in the world and local drinks are sold internationally.
But, while business is booming, the South African drinking culture unfortunately also has a number of black spots.
For one, it is generally accepted that alcohol is a leading cause of the carnage that occurs on the country's roads. Liquor also plays a part in domestic violence and neglect.
However, the biggest alcohol-induced problem in South Africa is foetal alcohol syndrome (FAS).
