Many u guys have mixed feelings about my blog and im here to clear things out for ppl.. i will state the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth and if u find it offending or condesending but thats my opinion on things and afterall i have the right to share my opinion with the world and beyond!!! ANYWAY
iv been studying alot this week.. exams are coming up and im really nervous. On completion of my degree i will the only sibling out 1 of 6 kids that has their degree and il also like to add that im the youngest.. Maybe my brothers didnt value a good education but i do. And that brings me to my next topic WHY DOESNT MOST OF THE COLOURED COMMUNITY BELIEVE IN THE IMPORTANCE OF TERTIARY EDUCATION..
Most of us just want school to be over so that we can work and get money to finance a car or whatever it is.. we feel that out independance should start as soon as we done with our final year. I know alot of us cant afford it and the reality is that i couldnt afford it as well. When planning ur life u need to have a goal in mind and my goal ws to have my degree by the time i was 19 and im proud to say this is my final year.. More and More young ppl are loosing hope in the fact they can be something much greater than a cashier in Spar or a machinist at Fiona`s Fashions. We are worth much better than out medicore jobs.. theres a world out there that we need to embrace it..
For all of us that can`t afford it( u know we not all cheese gals and cheesboys) i suggest that u work and study at the same time.. in this way u will be killing two birds with 1 stone... getting experience and getting an eeducation thats what im doing.. im not saying i love it but this is a stepping stone to a brighter future.. lets think further than our next pay day , lets think about the future

The more bruin-ous with degrees, the more people we will have in upper management, the greater our visibility, impact and worth in South Africa. Have a look at communities that value education and how they are blazing a trail in South African society, the Jews, the Indians, the Afrikaners...all because they place a great emphasis on education. Education is there for the taking. I'd encourage you to get as many of your nieces, nephews, friends and family to start aspiring for a tertiary education as this is the only way which they can really achieve more of their potential...

study coz were not all cheezgirls nd bois, but even so i tried i studied for a year that's
how long a fixed investment from my parents lasted and then I had to get my coloured booty
working. Now i must admit commiting to studying when the bucks r rolling in is hard!!
That's why I still havent completed my studies!!
but yah people need to realise, once you have nothing on ur side knowledge will be all that
left!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, it doesnt take being rich, a cheezgirl/boi to get tertiary education. My parents planned thats all, they both earn very low salaries but still had made a plan from the time we were young to ensure all of there children could study. So, for all those of you who are parents, you are where it starts, plan to place your child in the position to get an education...its possible. Tertiary education is not limited to university, and that does have implications for finding employment as mentioned in this thread, but the value of a university degree in my experiance has helped me think about the world differently. With the education I got, I didnt think I was employable either, but I was pleasantly surprised and also realsied that if someone doesnt employ me, I will find a way to make the knowledge work for me, although it takes more effort than even job seeking does. Our generationmay still be feeling the negative effects of racial bias in the job market, but encouraging a culture of education, is not only important for us but for the future of kids in coloured communities.

But one thing I absolutely hate with a passion, is when you see ppl that never ever showed an interest in studies or tertiary education driving down the road in fancy cars and bragging about being part of management.I hate that!!!! Its not fair at all. I worked really hard in high school, and even now Im in my final year and interning at a crappy place earning peanuts....but doing it in all in the name of being an educated learnered person. I def wana make myself proud and work hard, but it not fair that some ppl always find success in shortcuts

does not put food on my table or pay for my dept and that made me realize that conections
are more important then papers. so if u have any children forget about a good study plan
give them a good conection. p.s does any one know of a corrupt HR manager in willing to pay
