Following on the post that was recently placed on the website and in line with Bruin-ou.com’s vision of helping to build communities, we have decided to immediately implement the donate a blanket scheme.
To date just 2 organisations have been pointed out by members who could use the assistance. If you have any other suggestions, please let us know. You can vote now for any of the 2 organisations. The voting ends at close of business on Friday. We will add another 3 recommendations to this from people who make suggestions and add them to the voting options in the poll.
The rendezvous point for leaving your blankets will be decided at a later stage. Please could people make suggestions for this as well and we will choose the most popular venue that members have suggested. You are encouraged to bring old clothes, blankets, tin stuff and anything that could be of value to these people. No item is too small.
Depending on the popularity of this, we will look at rolling it forward at least every second week or thereabouts. If you are receiving this via newsletter or accessing it on the site then you obviously have internet and/or e-mail and are in a much better position than most of our community members. Let’s help those from our community less fortunate than us.
